I love it. I love reading it, writing it and finding new friends through it, though I do write original stuff too, when the muses that be allow!
It's a very personal activity, I think; some people absolutely adore it, others can't stand it. TBH I understand both sides; I really don't like fanfiction that's half-assed and doesn't use the plot/talent of the author to the full capacity just because I think it's a waste, but, each to their own.
